Volleyball drops non-conference matches

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost a pair of non-conference matches at Hope College on Saturday.

Kalamazoo lost its opener to Wheaton in five sets, with the Thunder winning the final set, 15-8.

Nya Greenstone led the Hornets with 16 kills and eight digs. Kelsey Hill added eight kills while Paige Johnson had seven.

Alex Gothard had 39 assists with 16 digs. Logan Horejsi had 35 digs while Dana Devito had 22 and Morgan Clothier had 17.

Kalamazoo lost its second match to DePauw in three sets.

Noa Yaakoby led the Hornets with seven kills. Kaela Van Til had five.

Camille Giacobone had 10 assists while Logan Horejsi had 30 digs.

The Hornets return to conference play with a match at Calvin on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
