Volleyball falls at No. 2 Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-16) at No. 2 Hope College on Tuesday.

The Hornets rallied from a 20-11 deficit in the opening set before falling 25-19. Kalamazoo trailed by just two points (18-16) in the second before Hope scored seven of the next eight points for the 25-17 win. 

Noa Yaakoby and Kelsey Hill led Kalamazoo with six kills each. Yaakoby hit .267 in the match while Hill hit .286 with two block assists.

Nya Greenstone and Paige Johnson each had four kills. Greenstone also had six digs.

Alex Gothard finished with 19 assists and six digs. Logan Horejsi and Dana DeVito each had seven digs.

Kalamazoo closes out the 2014 season at Alma on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
