Volleyball Defeats Alleghney

LANSING, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team improved to 6-0 with a three-set win over Allegheny College in the MIAA-NCAC Crossover Challenge at Aim High Sports on Friday. The Hornets 6-0 start to the season is the program's best start since 1995.

Kalamazoo won the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-16 in the second after trailing 10-4. The third set was much closer with the Hornets coming out on top 27-25 after trailing 22-17.

The Hornets hit .220 in the match compared to .117 for the Gators. Kalamazoo also took advantage of 10 service aces.

Lindsey Nedd led Kalamazoo with 12 kills and a .320 attack percentage. Madi Goodman added 10 kills with three aces.

Ashley Rill, Hannah Kerns, and Sydney Dowdell each had seven kills.

Grace Kraft tallied 35 assists while McKenna Hepler and Taylor Ferguson each recorded 15 digs. 

Kalamazoo returns to action in Lansing Saturday at 10 a.m. against Wooster.
