KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team won a pair of home matches on Wednesday, defeating Olivet and Grace Christian in non-conference play inside Anderson Athletic Center.
Kalamazoo won the opening match 25-21, 11-25, 25-20, 26-24 over Olivet.
Halley Johnson recorded 17 kills and a .212 attack percentage. Ann Lawrence added eight kills with just one error and a .318 attack percentage.
Molly Horton led the team with 17 assists while Rorie Dougherty added 15 assists with 14 digs. Johnson shared the team lead in digs with 14.
Kalamazoo defeated Grace Christian in three sets in the final match of the evening, including a narrow win in set two, finishing 25-18, 31-29, 25-19.
Ann Lawrence led the team with 10 kills. Jacky LaFollette added eight.
Molly Horton had 12 assists while Rorie Dougherty had 11. Halley Johnson had a team-high 10 digs with five aces.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action Sept. 10-11 in the MIAA-NCAC crossover in Sandusky, Ohio.
