KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Lauren Arquette has been named MIAA Runner of the Week after a strong performance at the EMU Fall Classic meet over the weekend.
Arquette, a junior from Canton, ran a time of 19:40 to place 33rd at the Fall Classic, putting her in the top half of a field consisting of primarily NCAA DI schools. Arquette's performance is particularly impressive because it is only her second meet of the season after missing almost two years due to injury.
Arquette is being honored as Runner of the Week for the third time in her career as she racked up two such awards in addition to being name First Team All-MIAA and All-Region during her standout freshman season.
The Hornet cross country team will head to Adrian on Saturday for the MIAA Championships which begin at 11 a.m.
