KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Lauren Arquette has been named MIAA Runner of the Week after a strong finish at Grand Rapids Community College's Raider Invite.
Arquette, a senior from Canton, Michigan (Salem High School), finished with a time of 18:28 to finish 12th overall in the 5K event. Arquette led the Hornets to a sixth place finish in the 14 team field.
This marks the fourth time that Arquette has been honored at the Runner of the Week in the conference. She earned the award twice during her standout freshman season in which she was named to the All-MIAA First Team and All-Region team. She was also named Runner of the Week once during her junior season.
Kalamazoo returns to action next Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Louisville Classic.
