CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with a 16-9 win at Concordia Chicago on Saturday.
Kalamazoo led 3-0 after the first quarter, but trailed 5-3 midway through the second. Kalamazoo scored five straight goals to end the half up 8-5.
The Hornets led 12-7 after the third and led by at least five goals the rest of the way.
Kalamazoo outshot Concordia 54-28 overall.
Brett Fitzgerald and Zach Morales led the Hornets with three goals apiece.
Brandon Wright, Dylan McGorisk, and Jack Loveland each scored twice.
Jack Smith broke his own school record with seven assists in the contest.
Nate Silverman made nine saves in goal.
Kalamazoo returns to action Sunday afternoon with a match at Carroll University in Wisconsin.
