Men's Lacrosse Breaks Records in Win at Carroll

WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team broke multiple school records in Sunday's 21-4 win over Carroll University. 

The Hornets' 21 goals broke their previous record by one. Kalamazoo also set new records in shots with 58, assists with 13, and face-offs won with 20.

Kalamzoo's 3-0 start is also the best in program history.

Carroll scored the first goal of the game just one minute in before Kalamazoo strung together six straight goals to get out to a 6-1 lead with just over 13 minutes to play in the first half. 

Following a 9-3 score at the halftime break, the Hornets outscored Carroll 12-1 in the second half to secure the victory. 

Jack Loveland led Kalamazoo in scoring with four goals. Jake Bonifacio, Jake Fales, and Jack Smith each added three goals. 

Loveland also led Kalamazoo with six groundballs. Smith and Alex Decker each had four. 

Goalie Nate Silverman mad nine saves for the Hornets. 

Kalamazoo outshot Carroll 58-29 in the match. The Hornets won 20 of 29 face-offs and collected 46 groundballs compared to Carroll's 26. 

Kalamazoo returns to play on Friday, March 15 for its home opener against Dubuque at 6 p.m.
