Record Breaking Night For Men's Lacrosse at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's lacrosse team broke multiple school records in a 21-15 win at Adrian on Tuesday.

Adrian scored the first three goals of the game. After scoring the next two, Kalamazoo trailed 4-3 after the first period.

Adrian led 7-6 with 2:13 left in the second before the Hornets scored the next two goals to take an 8-7 lead into halftime.

Kalamazoo scored four straight goals to open the second half and led 15-12 after the third.

Kalamazoo opened the fourth with three straight goals to go up 18-12, however Adrian came fighting back with three straight to make it 18-15 with 4:06 remaining. Kalamazoo added three goals in the closing minutes to take the 21-15 win.

Kalamazoo took 54 shots in the game compared to 40 for the Bulldogs. Adrian won more face-offs and had more ground balls, but the Hornets took advantage of 4-of-10 extra-man opportunities compared to 1-of-5 for Adrian.

The Hornets broke the school record with their fifth win of the season while tying the school record for goals in a game.

Dylan McGorisk broke the school record with eight goals in the game.

Jack Smith recorded five assists while Tim Grobosky made 14 saves in goal.

Kalamazoo closes out the regular season at Hope on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
