The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played to a spirited 0-0 tie with DePauw University on Saturday evening at MacKenzie Field.
The Hornets handed the Tigers their first non-win of the season as DePauw moved to 4-0-1 after the result and Kalamazoo moved to 1-2-1.
Kalamazoo held the slight edge in shots, notching 13 to DePauw's 12 in the 110 minutes of play. A physical game from both sides, Kalamazoo ended with 21 fouls while DePauw ended with 15.
Jordan Veillette's header off a corner kick from Kyle Hernandez in the first half of play marked one of K's best chances throughout the match.
Kalamazoo will begin MIAA play this upcoming Wednesday, Sept. 16, when they travel to Olivet. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
