Men's Soccer downs Hope

The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team improved to 4-3-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Saturday evening by defeating Hope College, 2-0.

Joshua Robison started the scoring for the Hornets in the 12th minute as he ripped a shot into the bottom left corner from inside the penalty area on a cross played in by Josh Brodbine. The goal was Robison's first of the season.

Kyle Hernandez netted his fourth goal of the year extending the Hornets lead to 2-0 on a free kick from the right side of the box in the 30th minute.

Griffin Hamel earned his second clean sheet of the season in goal for the Hornets. He saved four shots in the match.

Kalamazoo, now in a second place tie in the MIAA with Alma, will travel to Alma for a road match on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
