Best of 2015-16: Men's tennis extends The Streak

With another year of Hornet athletics coming and going, we've reviewed the best moments of 2015-16 and we're shining a light on them one more time before the 2016-17 year begins.

This week's pick? The men's tennis team extending its conference championship streak and winning its 78th consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title.

"Men's Tennis defeats Adrian, wins MIAA championship"

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Adrian 9-0 on Sunday to win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship outright and extend the Hornets' consecutive conference championship streak to 78.

Kalamazoo won all three doubles points before sweeping the six singles matches.

Robert Hudson and Eric De Witt were first off the court with an 8-0 win at two doubles. Allen Vinson and Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado followed with an 8-1 win at three doubles before Branden Metzler and Elan Dantus completed the sweep with an 8-2 win at one doubles.

Dantus was first off the court in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win at three. Spencer Navarre secured the match victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win at six.

De Witt won 6-3, 6-1 at four followed by Metzler's 6-0, 6-3 win at one.

Allen Vinson won 6-2, 6-2 at five before Hudson completed the shutout with a 2-6, 6-4, 10-3 win at two.

Kalamazoo (15-4, 7-0) will be the top seed at the MIAA Tournament May 5-6.
