Baseball loses season finale at Central Michigan

MT. PLEASANT - The Kalamazoo College baseball team lost its season finale 5-0 at Division I Central Michigan University on Tuesday.

The host Chippewas scored one run in the first, two in the second, and two in the sixth.

Adam McDowell allowed just four hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. Only one of the five runs allowed was earned. Dylan Pierce allowed just three hits and no runs in 2 2/3 innings of relief.

Central had seven hits in the game while Kalamazoo had six. The Hornets had two runners on base in the fourth and ninth innings, but could not get the key hit to drive home a run.

Eric Glanz was 2-for-4 to lead the offensive effort. Marc Zughaib, Brett Thomas, Joey Aliotta, and K.J. Schultz each had a single.

Despite the season ending loss, the Kalamazoo College senior class finished with a school record 57 wins over the course of their four year career.
