Baseball beaten by the Titans

Joey Aliotta playing baseball.

WINTER HAVEN, FL – The Kalamazoo College men's baseball team was defeated 13-5 by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Thursday afternoon. It was the team's fifth and final game from Florida and their record is now 7-5 overall.

The Hornets fell behind early in this one, as the Titans put up five runs in the top of the first inning. Kalamazoo was trailing 6-0 before it put up its first run on a Joey Aliotta single in the bottom of the sixth. Aliotta had another RBI and Josh Reuter had two as well. Carter Chandler also had an RBI.

The scoring wasn't enough to keep up with Oshkosh as they put up another seven runs over the last three innings of the game. Joel Dayton and Brandon DeFore had solid days from the mound, combining to only give up one run over five innings. The rest of the staff wasn't quite that effective.

The Hornets next game is Saturday, Mar. 28 at Alma.
