Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader at Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team swept a doubleheader at Olivet on Saturday winning 3-0 and 13-4.

Game One

Kalamazoo scored a run in the third, one in the sixth, and one in the seventh while shutting out the Comets.

Jack Tagget went the distance allowing just two hits while striking out five and walking three in the complete game shutout.

Noah Hecht drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the third along with his solo home run in the sixth. 

Chase Coselman had two hits in the game including a double. Drew Novetsky also had a double.

Game Two

Kalamazoo took advantage of a pair of five-run innings in the 13-4 win. Kalamazoo led 6-3 after six innings before adding on five in the seventh to extend the lead.

Chase Coselman was 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Jordan Wiley, Alex Fultz, Noah Hecht, Stefan Leclerc, and Austin Duff each had two hits.

Wiley, Fultz, Hecht, Duff, Zach Prystash, and Brendan Gausselin each had a double. 

Duff drove in three runs while also scoring a run.

Parker Sisovsky earned the win striking out seven and walking one in six innings.

Kalamazoo and Olivet meet up again Sunday with a doubleheader in Kalamazoo beginning at 1 p.m.
