KALAMAZOO, Mich. - After being named MIAA Pitcher of the Week on Monday, Jack Brockhaus has also been honored as the SAAC men's Hornet of the Week.
Brockhaus threw for six shutout innings in Kalamazoo's 4-1 win over Adrian on March 20. The junior from Birmingham, Mich. (Brother Rice) allowed no runs over five Bulldog hits, totaled six strikeouts and allowed one walk.
Brockhaus is now 2-0 over three starts, allowing just a single run and 13 hits through 18 innings pitched. He leads the MIAA in strikeouts (24) and ERA (0.50).
The 7-0 Hornets host Hope for a doubleheader on Friday, March 26 beginning at 2 p.m.
