Doug Propson was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. He was named MIAA Position Player of the Week on Monday.
A senior from Rochester, Mich. (Stoney Creek), Propson hit .421 in five games in Arizona last week. Playing second, short and third during the week, he had eight hits including two doubles, one home run and eight RBIs.
In addition, Propson pitched the final inning in a 7-4 win over Gustavus Adolphus.
On the season, Propson is hitting .440 with four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 15 RBIs. He's also 1-1 on the mound with a 4.91 ERA.
Kalamazoo (7-5) is scheduled to open MIAA play at Albion on Saturday, April 2.
