Ben Chosid was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. He was named MIAA Baseball Position Player of the Week on Monday.
A senior from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Huron), Chosid hit .500 last week, helping the Hornets to a 3-0 record for the week. He started all three games at shortstop in wins over Hope and Trine. Of his seven hits, two were doubles. He also drove in six runs.
Through Sunday, Chosid was batting .304 with three doubles and 16 RBIs.
Kalamazoo returns to action Wednesday with a single game at Hope scheduled for 4 p.m.
