ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team returned to MIAA action with a road game against Adrian on Friday afternoon (May 5). A five-run third inning by the Bulldogs sparked a 6-0 victory over the Hornets.

Adrian scored one run in the second and five in the third en route to the six-run win. Thomas Sylvester (8-2) lasted two and two-thirds innings in his start, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk.

Chase Cummins came in to get the last out of the third with a strikeout, and Jadem Williams then threw five innings of scoreless relief with two strikeouts. Lukas Bolton had a multi-hit game with a stolen base, as four other Hornets also recorded a hit.

Kalamazoo will finish the series and season with a home doubleheader against Adrian on Saturday (May 6), beginning at 1 p.m. Senior day festivities will also happen as the Hornets still need one more victory to win the MIAA outright.
