Kalamazoo made it 14-0 with 6:59 left in the first as White again found Feilla in the end zone on a 2-yard scoring play.

The host Engineers scored three minutes later to make it a 14-7 game. Rose-Hulman was able to add a safety with 1:10 left in the second quarter, but the Hornets made a stop on the 2-yardline at the end of the half to keep the score at 14-9.
