ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College football team lost 28-10 at Alma College on Saturday.

The host Scots scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters to take a 14-0 lead. Kalamazoo got on the board with a 31-yard field goal by Greg Kearns as time expired in the first half.

Alma pulled ahead 21-3 early six minutes into the third quarter. The Hornets blocked a field goal late in the third and Bubba Wilson returned it 72 yards for a touchdown to make it a 21-10 game.

Alma tacked on a touchdown late in the fourth quarter leading to the 28-10 final.

Jared Pittman rushed for 99 yards on 18 carries to lead the Hornets offensively.

Niko Nickson was 13-of-28 passing for 110 yards.

Andrew Widger led the receivers with five catches for 51 yards. Raekwon CastelowBubba Wilson, and CJ Foster each made two catches.

Josh Martin and Taylor Jackson each made 13 tackles to lead the defense. Matt Ford was in on 10 tackles. 

Jacob ChantresNoah Coplan, and Kareem Wallace were each in on sacks.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Olivet next Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.
