Bubba Wilson, Isaiah Fleming Earn All-MIAA Honors

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A pair of Kalamazoo College football players were recognized with All-MIAA honors Tuesday afternoon following the conclusion of the regular season. Bubba Wilson was named to the first team and Isaiah Fleming received second-team honors.

Wilson, a junior wide receiver from Muskegon, Mich. (Muskegon HS), stepped up to the first team after being an All-MIAA Second-Team selection as a sophomore. He led the team in receptions (31), receiving yards (411) and touchdowns (3). He also had seven rushing attempts for 50 yards and a score.

Wilson had a season-high seven receptions against Bluffton and a career-high 114 receiving yards in the season finale against Adrian. The engineering major has the distinction of leading the team in receptions and receiving yards every season since he came to Kalamazoo in 2019.

Fleming, a senior defensive lineman from Jackson, Mich. (Jackson HS), closed out his college career in fine style by being named All-MIAA for the first time. He was recognized with second-team honors after recording 20 tackles (14 unassisted, five tackles-for-loss), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a pass breakup.

Fleming was also named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7 after notching 3.5 tackles-for-loss and forcing a fumble in the Hornets 24-17 win at Oberlin. The business major concludes a productive career with totals of 54 tackles, four sacks, 10 tackles-for-loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
