Fishman leads Hornets with 14 points in loss at No. 17 Calvin

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 92-50 at No. 17 Calvin on Saturday.

Kalamazoo was within seven points (31-24) with 3:51 left in the first half, but the Knights closed out the half on an 11-5 run to take a 13 point lead (42-29) into halftime. Calvin led by double digits throughout the second half.

Calvin shot 50 percent from the field overall while holding Kalamazoo to just 23.9 percent. The Hornets sank 9-of-26 three-pointers compared to 4-of-20 for the Knights. Calvin made 12-of-18 free throws while Kalamazoo made just 9-of-18. Calvin also held a 67-28 advantage in rebounds, including 20-10 on the offensive end.

Eric Fishman led the Hornets with 14 points and three assists.

Adam Peters scored 13 points while Mark Ghafari finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Hope on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m.
