Men's Basketball falls to Hope

KALAMAZOO, MI. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 83-65 to Hope on Saturday afternoon. The men fall to 7-10 overall and 2-4 in MIAA conference play.

This was a game that was lost for the Hornets in the first half, where they were outscored 41-24. The Hornets only trailed by three points half way into the first half but then allowed the Flying Dutchman to go on a 25-11 run to end the half.

The second half was a different story as Kalamazoo matched Hope's intensity almost the entire time. The Hornets were only outscored by one point in the second half and nearly doubled their offensive efficiency from the first half.

Kalamazoo's big three; Adam Peters, Adam Dykema, and Josh Miller all had nice afternoons. Peters had 13 points and three assists while Dykema had 11 points and seven rebounds. Big man Josh Miller had 15 points and seven boards.  Jake Whitney and Carter Goetz combined for 13 points off of the bench.

The Hornets will look to bounce back Wednesday, Jan. 28 on the road against Alma.
