Men's basketball falls on the road to Hope

Holland, MI – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was defeated 67-55 on the road by Hope on Wednesday night. The Hornets were still playing without starting point guard Carl Ghafari.

The Hornets did get a boost to their line up with the return of Adam Peters. Peters had seven points, two rebounds, and one steal in nineteen minutes. Adam Dykema led the team in scoring with 12, and also added three rebounds. Josh Miller led all rebounders with six, to go along with nine points and two steals. Mike Oravetz, starting in place of Ghafari had a solid line of eight points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Keith Garber had a solid game for the Hornets off the bench with eight points on a perfect 3-of-3 from the floor. The Hornets came six points closer to the Dutchman than when the teams met earlier this year and Kalamazoo lost by 18.

The men will play their final game of the season Saturday, Feb. 21 at home against Alma.
