KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell on Sunday afternoon to North Central by a final score of 75-60.

The Cardinals scored the first points of the game less than 20 seconds in on a pair of free throws and held that lead throughout the entire 40 minutes.

A 17-point deficit for Kalamazoo at halftime, and a lead for North Central that was up to as much as 33, was trimmed down by the end of the game, but the Kalamazoo comeback came up short.

The Hornets connected on 21 of 58 shots throughout the game and made nine of their 31 three-point attempts.

Tre Humes led the team with 17 points on 6-for-12 shooting while making five of his nine three-pointers.

Thomas Cook added 10 points off the bench.

Tanner Blyly and Jarnard Smith each tallied seven points.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the University of Chicago. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 4 p.m.
