GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team dropped its road contest at Calvin University as the Hornets fell 90-75 to the Knights.

Kalamazoo got out to an early 14-9 lead thanks to some hot shooting during the first four minutes of the game. After much of the first half was a back-and-forth affair, the Hornets found themselves holding a 35-33 advantage with just under eight minutes to play in the half. Calvin regained the lead about a minute later and kept it throughout the entirety of the second half.

The Hornets shot 40 percent from the field (24-60) and connected on eight of 24 three-point attempts. The team also made 19 of 23 free throw tries.

Kalamazoo committed just four turnovers as a team.

Tanner Blyly led Kalamazoo with 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Merritt Hamann and Thomas Cook each added 12 points and five rebounds.

Ben Reiter tallied nine points while Jeremiah Vincent had eight.

The Hornets return to play at home on Wednesday, Jan. 29 against Alma. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
