KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Tanner Blyly of the Kalamazoo College men's basketball team has been selected as the Hornet of the Week by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Tanner was paramount for Kalamazoo in a pair of close games with Alma and Trine as he posted 24 and 17 points in those two match-ups. To go along with his big scoring days, he also posted 17 total rebounds and 11 assists.
This season, the senior guard is averaging 16.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. He leads the team in each category and his assist mark is third-best in the MIAA.
Blyly has been in the top three in scoring and has led the team in assists in each of the last two seasons.
The men's basketball team returns to play on Wednesday, Feb. 5 against Adrian. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
