KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team was defeated by Adrian College Wednesday evening by a final score of 92-83.

In a closely contested first half, Adrian used a buzzer-beating three-pointer to take a 56-43 lead into the halftime break.

The Bulldogs held a commanding lead for the first 12 minutes of the second half before Kalamazoo went on a 13-2 run to trim the deficit down to just five about five and a half minutes to play. The Hornets' comeback attempt would fall short, however, as Adrian held on to win by nine.

The story of the night for Kalamazoo was Tanner Blyly as the senior became the 23rd player in Kalamazoo College men's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points and the first since Mark Ghafari in 2013-14.

Along with his 21 points, Blyly also tallied six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

Fellow seniors Tre Humes and Ben Reiter added 17 points each and combined to connect on six three-pointers.

Merritt Hamann scored 12 points and dished out four assists.

Kalamazoo returns to play on Saturday, Feb. 8 when it travels to Olivet for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
