Ty Horky was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday.
Horky led the Hornets with a career-high 21 points, five rebounds, two steals, and one assist in Kalamazoo's 76-71 win over Capital University at home on Saturday. Horky scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half and made a 3-pointer to tie the game late followed by a steal and layup to take the lead. He was 4-for-4 from behind the arc while also making all three free throw attempts.
On the season, Horky is averaging 14 points and four rebounds per game.
The men's basketball team returns to action Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Bluffton University.
