SANDUSKY, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team is tied for first place out of eight teams following the first day of competition at Ohio Wesleyan's Battle at the Brook.
Kalamazoo shot 297 Saturday and is tied with Kenyon for the top spot. Ohio Wesleyan is one stroke behind at 298.
Parker Pickell was third overall with a 72. Jackson Jones tied for fourth at 73.
Travis Veenhuis and Mathew Holmes-Hackerd each came in at 76.
The tournament concludes Sunday afternoon.
