Men's Golf Leads After Second Round of MIAA Tournament

WEST OLIVE, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team holds a one stroke lead entering the final round of the MIAA Spring Qualifying Tournament.

The Hornets held a three stroke advantage over Hope after last Saturday's opening round. The Flying Dutchmen picked up two strokes on Friday with a team score of 300 (610 overall) while the Hornets came in at 302 (609 overall). Trine sits in third place with a total of 621 while Calvin is fourth at 643.

Nick Ludka led Kalamazoo with a 73 on Friday. Jackson Jones shot 74.

Mathew Holmes-Hackerd came in at 77 while Parker Pickell rounded out the top four with a 78.

Saturday's final round is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at Wuskowhan Players Club, the same location as Friday's round. 

The team with the lowest three-round score advances to the NCAA III Championships May 14-17 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
