KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Mathew Holmes-Hackerd of the Kalamazoo College men's golf team was honored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as this week's Hornet of the Week.
The senior carded a career-best 74 at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Adrian to tie for eighth overall with teammate Jackson Jones.
Holmes-Hackerd has lowered his scoring each year for the Hornets as he has gone from 86.8 as a freshman down to 80.2 a year ago. His previous low score was 76 which he carded twice in his career, once as a sophomore and again as a junior.
He and the rest of the men's golf team will wrap up the fall season at the MIAA Fall Final at East Lansing's Forest Akers West.
