As a PGA Professional, Burt taught private lessons and directed tournament operations while managing the Junior Golf Programs and coaching the PGA Jr. League. Prior to working at Gull Lake, Burt was an assistant pro at Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath, Mich., and was an assistant instructor with the Greg Webber Golf Academy at Hawk Hollow. Burt graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2012 with a degree in sports management and played NCAA Division II golf while attending.

Quoting Coach Burt

"Our team has been hard at work since the day we were allowed back on campus. Going a year and a half without golf has been tough, but these student-athletes persevered! I have high hopes for our men's program this spring. With Jackson Jones and Parker Pickell leading the way, this team has a chance to contend for a conference championship. The players go through testing and take many precautions to make this season happen so I praise them for the work they have done to get to this point."
