Parker Pickell was named SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week for the second consecutive week today. He was also named MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Pickell, a senior from Bloomfield Village, Mich. (Seaholm), competed in two events last week. On Tuesday, Pickell took home medalist honors with an even 70 at the first MIAA Jamboree of the season hosted by Albion at Duck Lake, helping the Hornets to a second-place finish. On Wednesday, he tied for ninth overall with a 78 at the Aquinas Fall Invitational at Kauffman Golf Course.
On the season, Pickell is averaging 72.5 overall through four matches. He leads the MIAA after shooting 70 during the opening round.
The Kalamazoo College men's golf team is scheduled to be back in action Sept. 17-18 at the Irish Hills Intercollegiate hosted by Adrian.
