Men's Golf Seventh at MIAA Spring Finale

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team finished seventh at the two-day MIAA Spring Finale at The Legacy Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.

Kalamazoo shot 324 on Friday and 331 on Saturday, finishing 10 strokes out of sixth place. 

Emiliano Alvarado Rescala led the Hornets with a total of 157 (79-78) to tie for 11th overall.

Tyler Omness tied for 17th with a total of 159 (77-82).

Nick Coseo shot 168 (86-82), followed by Aidan Lancaster's 171 (82-89) and Alex Rueff's 188 (92-96). MacKale McGuire shot 183 (92-91) as an individual in the event.

Emiliano Alvarado Rescala and Tyler Omness were both presented with All-MIAA Second Team honors at the conclusion of the event. Alvarado Rescala averaged 76.17 in league play this year, while Tyler Omness averaged 77.0. A freshman, Alvarado Rescala earned the honor for the first time. Omness, a junior, earned the honor for the third consecutive season.
