Men's Soccer falls 1-0 in overtime to No. 8 Olivet

The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost 1-0 in double overtime at No. 8 Olivet on Wednesday.

Kalamazoo (5-2-1, 3-1 MIAA) battled the undefeated Comets (9-0-1, 4-0 MIAA) through 90 minutes of regulation without either team finding the net.

Neither team was able to score in the first 10-minute overtime period, but the Comets were able to put one in goal just over a minute (1:01) into the second overtime period.

Olivet outshot Kalamazoo 16-8 overall, but the Hornets held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.

Dane Macdonell took the loss in goal despite making four saves.

The Hornets return to action with their first home game of the season this Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. against Calvin.
