Men's Soccer falls to Olivet in overtime, 2-1

The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost 2-1 to Olivet in overtime at MacKenzie Field on Saturday.

Olivet took an early lead with a goal just over two minutes into the contest.

The Comet lead held for over 75 minutes before Kalamazoo evened the score with a goal by Rory Landis in the 78th minute (Jordan Veillette assist).

The score remained tied through the final 12 minutes of regulation sending the game to overtime.

The only shot for either team in overtime was successful as Olivet scored the game-winner in the sixth minute of overtime.

Olivet outshot Kalamazoo 12-7 overall for the game, including 6-2 on goal.

Dane Macdonnell made four saves in goal for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 24 with a 4 p.m. contest at Calvin.
