Jonathan Nord playing soccer.

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was unable to complete its comeback against Olivet and fell 3-2 on the road in its final game of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Joshua Rosendale opened the scoring for Olivet in the 24th minute off of an assist from David Magallon. The Comets held that 1-0 lead through halftime until Thomas Bryant pulled the Hornets level in the 54th minute with his fourth goal of the season.

Ten minutes later Alistair Law gave Olivet a 2-1 advantage as he finished off an assist from Denver Bonkowski. The Hornets continued to push forward in search of the tying goal as the team took 10 shots in the second half, but as time ticked away, it appeared that the Olivet lead would hold.

With just 30 seconds remaining in the game, Jonathan Nord came through for K with his first goal of the year to tie the game and force overtime.

The Hornets were forced to play a man down in overtime after Thomas Bryant was shown a red card following Nord's goal and Olivet was able to take advantage of the extra man seven minutes into the second overtime period as Joshua Rosendale scored his second goal of the game to give the Comets the victory.

Brad Carlson made three saves in goal for the Hornets in his first career start.

Kalamazoo finishes the season 8-8-2 overall and 7-6-1 in MIAA play.
