DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie at Defiance College on Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, Kalamazoo got on the board in the 48th minute on a goal by Ben Meschke (Hayden Strobel assist).
Defiance evened the score with a goal in the 54th minute, and both teams were held at bay through the second overtime.
Kalamazoo outshot Defiance 29-12 overall, including 14-4 on goal.
Luke Kastran made three saves in goal for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Mich.-Dearborn at Gabriel Richard High School.
