Kalamazoo, Mich. – After 110 minutes and two overtime periods Monday night, the Kalamazoo College men's soccer team settled for a 0-0 tie with Spring Arbor University at MacKenzie Field.
The Hornets had a 23-11 advantage in shots over the Cougars, with Alex Wallace and Chad Ewing sharing game-high honors with four apiece. The game, which grew more physical as the night went on, featured a total of 34 fouls and seven yellow cards.
Gavin Houtkooper had four saves in goal for the Hornets.
K is now 2-2-1 on the season and will continue its homestand when Elmhurst comes to Kalamazoo for a 6:00 p.m. match on Wednesday.
