Men's Soccer Shuts Out Lake Forest

Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team really used their heads Saturday evening at MacKenzie Field in a 3-0 win over Lake Forest College.

Aidan Baas started the scoring in the 28th minute by heading in a throw-in from Colin Halloran.

Jaden Buist then headed in an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute, followed 85 seconds later by Aidan Gillig heading in a free-kick from Halloran.

Kalamazoo senior keeper Luke Kastran collected five saves in recording the shutout while Michele Alia paced the Hornets with four shots.

K finished a five-game homestand with a 3-1-1 record and now stands at 4-2-1 on the season.

The Hornets will open conference play when they travel to Holland to face Hope College on Saturday.
