Kalamazoo College's Emilio Romo was selected as the MIAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
A junior from Sylmar, Calif., Romo helped the Hornets to a 5-0 win over Adrian last Wednesday and a 5-1 win over Trine on Saturday.
Trine had just made it a 2-1 game early in the second half when Romo scored three minutes later to make it a 3-1 game. He then scored the fourth goal of the game in the 82nd minute to help put it out of reach.
Romo leads the Hornets with seven goals and 14 points this season. This is his second MIAA Player of the Week honor.
The Hornets are 9-2-2 overall (4-0 MIAA) and back in action Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Calvin.
