Men's Swimming/Diving finishes third at Calvin Inv.

The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team finished third out of 10 teams at the Calvin Winter Invitational on Saturday. The Hornets recorded the best score among NCAA Division III schools.

Will Guedes won the 3M Diving event with a score of 516.80. Elliot Littman was fourth with a score of 448.00.

The 200 Medley Relay team (Armstrong, Shearer, Benmark, Simic) finished third with an NCAA cut time of 1:32.90.

Dylan Shearer posted an NCAA time in the 200 Breaststroke during prelims (2:04.38) before finishing fourth in finals at 2:05.08.

Kevin Ewing finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.95. He also finished fourth in the 200 Backstroke (1:54.14).

The swimming and diving team is scheduled to compete next at the Holland Quad Meet on Jan. 12, 2013.
