Men's Swimming & Diving falls at Calvin

GRAND RAPIDS - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team lost 175-122 at Calvin College on Saturday.

Kalamazoo won six events during the afternoon meet. Kevin Ewing took first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of :53.67 while also finishing first in the 200 Backstroke (2:01.01). Elliot Littman also won two events, the 1-meter (265.20) and the 3-meter (236.55).

Dylan Shearer won the 50 Freestyle in :21.86 while Tyler Fisher won the 100 Butterfly in :52.35.

Kalamazoo took second in the 200 Medley Relay (Ewing, Lindquist, Fisher, Shearer - 1:34.87). Individuals finishing second included Alex Lindsay (1000 Freestyle - 10:15.57), Michael Allen (200 Freestyle - 1:46.07 and 500 Freestyle - 4:51.94), Tyler Fisher (200 Butterfly - 1:57.62), Kevin Ewing (200 IM - 1:59.24), and the 400 Freestyle Relay (Wasko, Lindquist, Allen, Polzin - 3:16.78).

"We had some great swims today - most faster than last weekend," said Kalamazoo Head Coach Kathy Milliken. "The good competition fueled many of our athletes to in-season bests and even a couple of lifetime best swims."

Kalamazoo returns home to host Alma College next Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.
