Men's Swimming & Diving Third at MIAA Championships

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's swimming and diving team finished third at the 2019 MIAA Championships. The Hornets trailed by five points entering the final day of competition and ended up finishing in third place by 21 points.

Kalamazoo had three fourth-place finishes on Saturday.

Matt Howrey was fourth in the 1650 freestyle at 16:26.74. Sharif Shaker was fourth in the 200 backstroke at 1:53.45.

The 400 free relay (Shaker, Durden, Roberts, Stille) also finished fourth at 3:12.93.

Other top finishes for the Hornets on Saturday included:
8th - Luke Durden, 100 free - :47.64
8th - Michael Orwin, 200 fly - 2:02.83
