KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Sam Ankley and Erin Radermacher have been honored by the Kalamazoo College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as this week's Hornets of the Week, just one day after being recognized as MIAA Athletes of the Week.
Sam was victorious in both of his synchronized diving events at the MIAA Relays. Ankley teamed-up with Grant Williams from Hope College and scored 188.90 on the 1-meter dive and 212.65 on the 3-meter.
Erin was a member of two relay teams that finished in second place. Her 24.24 split as the anchor in the 200 Medley Relay was the fastest in the event and in the top-12 in NCAA III as the team swam to a second-place finish. Radermacher also logged the fastest split in the 200 Backstroke Relay with a time of 27.33 as this team also finished in second place.
The swimming and diving teams return to action on Nov. 1-2 at the Davenport Quad Meet.
