Men's Tennis defeats No. 29 NYU

BRONX, N.Y. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team wrapped up its spring trip with a 6-3 win over New York University on Thursday. 

Kalamazoo entered the match ranked No. 18 while NYU is ranked No. 29.

Kalamazoo led 2-1 after doubles. NYU won the first two singles matches before Kalamazoo won the final four to win the match.

Noah Karoub clinched the match for the Hornets at six singles (6-4, 6-3) after trailing 3-2 in the second set.

Elan Dantus and Branden Metzler won 8-1 at one doubles while Allen Vinson and Daniel Henry won 8-6 at three. 

Metzler won 7-5, 3-6, 6-1 at one singles while Henry (2) and Vinson (5) won in straight sets.

Kalamazoo returns to action April 1 with the MIAA opener at Trine.
