KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won 9-0 on Monday afternoon at home against Trine.
Kalamazoo won all three doubles matches before going on to win all six singles matches in straight sets. The Hornets kept Trine scoreless in four of their matches.
Ian Yi/Daniel Henry won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Peter Fitzgerald/Titus Metzler blanked their opponents 8-0, and the team of Jai Banerji/Dylan Drier picked up an 8-1 victory.
Yi, Henry and Metzler defeated their Trine opponents 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1, 2 and 3 singles spots, respectively.
Casey Johnson won at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-2. Banerji won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Drier picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 6 spot.
Kalamazoo (5-0, 3-0 MIAA) is scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday, April 20 at Albion.
