SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost 8-1 to No. 22 Mary Washington University on Friday. Kalamazoo entered the match ranked No. 28.
The Eagles won all three doubles matches before winning five of the six singles matches.
At one doubles, Mary Washington narrowly won, 8-7(2).
In singles, Adnan Alousi won 7-5, 6-3 at number five.
Gabe Vidinas lost a close match at two, 4-6, 6-3, 0-1(5). Peter Fitzgerald lost 2-6, 6-7(3) at three. Casey Johnson fell 4-6, 7-6(4), 0-1(8) at four.
Kalamazoo returns home to begin MIAA play against Calvin next Tuesday, March 29 at 4 p.m.
